Are you hungry while running? No probem anymore! Wearable robot Tomatan can feed feed you as you run.

Japan’s largest supplier of tomato juice and tomato ketchup Kagome developed with Maywa Denki this cute robot for marathon runners. Why they use tomato instead of fruits? “Tomatoes have lots of nutrition that combats fatigue,” said Dr. Shigenori Suzuki.
Inventor of Otamatone Maiwa Denki was focused mostly on its visual design said Novmichi Tosa. The machine resembles a humanoid robot – tomato head with moving jaw with deposit of tomatoes.wereable-tomato Image above shows alpha version of Tomatan that was considered insufficient because of required participation runner. Unfortunately, the final device weighs around 17.5 pounds (8kg) and can only carry six tomatoes.

When the runner feels like it’s time for a nutrient boost, they simply tug a lever in the robot’s foot, which causes a tomato to pass from the dispensing chute into the robot’s hands. Its arms then rotate forward, bringing the fruit to the runner’s mouth. To see it in action, check out the video below.

“Bens Birthday Celebration” requires a Tomatan for our 2nd Annual rendezvous scheduled next March 2017. It seems like quite a product!

Please can you send estimated cost with delivery to Dushanbe, Tajikistan?

Hello, me and the fellow wübs (you may not of heard of us,yet.) are interested in purchasing a model of tomatan for our annual Friday night conserves, I feel it would help us get women by the truck load, which would help as the vast majority of us are, surprisingly, pathetic virgins.
If you could get back at any point I would be delighted and it would have to be delivered to Manchester , UK.

Yours regrettably, Harris (Wub member, conserve owner)

The question is, is it so hard to pick that tomato ,even if iys required while running, from your pouch and put into your mouth !!! To carry a 9 kg robot on your sholder ?!! The logic of the whole thing is in question .
    Thanks guys

[…] With a sharp jawline, and fluttering eyelashes, doe-eyed Sophia, the world’s first AI-powered humanoid is quite a stunner. Besides her looks, she boasts of an admirable sense of humour. Designed by Hong Kong-based company Hanson Robotics, Sophia exhibits many human values such as wisdom, compassion and kindness. She is also capable of expressing her emotions, holding eye contact, recognising faces, and understanding human speech. And Sophia is not the only humanoid robot the world is gushing over. There is Nedbank’s fully programmable hospitality-bot Fabio, the bipedal humanoid Atlas, and, of course, the adorable tomato-feeding Tomatan. […]

My favorite hobby is running. I unfortunately had to stop because I had no way to reliably eat a half dozen tomatoes while on my morning run. I tried to get my mail order bride from the Philippines to throw tomatoes in my mouth as I ran, but she is unfortunately quite elderly and too slow and her aim is not great. This 18 pound shoulder robot seems like a logical and feasible solution to all of my problems. Do I enter my cc# here or……? I need this. I’ve been so depressed and had considered ending it all. I even sold my shoes. Thanks in advance.
